A unique tour combining motorbike adventure and hiking to the summits and the Home of the 12 Gods.

This tour is strictly for up to 3 persons and addresses to experienced adventure riders who also want to climb the highest mountain of Greece, mt. Olympus. We start our day from our homebase in Litochoro and after the first few kilometers along the coast we start driving uphill towards southwest Olympus. Our aim is to drive to the highest point at 2550m. where we will leave the bikes and start our 2hour hike to the top. On our way there the route is very beautiful and can be combined with forested off road parts. The road is mostly asphalt until Kalyvia village where we will enter a demanding long gravel road that takes us all the way to Christakis refuge. This is the where the road stops and we replace 2 wheels with 2 feet. Olympus on this side is very different. Barren, with large slopes where cows and wild horses graze.

During this activity an experienced guide will be leading the team as well as a 4×4 support vehicle for any case.

Once we arrive at the mountain basin we will have a good break for snack at Christakis refuge. We will change clothes, hydrate and wear our hiking shoes.

The options here are to climb the summits and stay overnight under the “Throne of Zeus” at one of the mountain huts (muses plateau) at 2700m. or to return to our base in Litochoro.
